One alternative might be the Harbor Freight FORTRESS 2 Gallon 135 PSI Ultra Quiet compressor rated at 60 db, which is really quiet. I have them all hooked up to California Air Compressors, which are fairly expensive, but very quiet. I have three RedSail lasers, 2 - X700’s and 1 - M900. I have to concur that the aquarium style air pumps are pretty useless.
